Timothy G. Halligan

An expert on 1031 Exchanges

Tim Halligan Principal Partner of Exchange Authority and an active member of FEA (Federation of Exchange Accommodators) Tim earned the CES (Certified Exchange Specialist) designation in 2003.   Tim has been acting as a QI (Qualified Intermediary) since 1999.  He consults regularly with professionals from a variety of fields such as accountants, attorneys, realtors and financial planners to help ensure a successful 1031 exchange transaction for the client.

Prior to his current position, Tim has been a member of several local regional and national exchange organizations. He continues to educate clients and professionals on the practical application of IRC §1031 exchanges.  He has created several real estate and exchange related courses and co-author of Section 1031-Trade Secrets of Exchanging. 

Tim now lives with his family in Lunenburg, MA and has recently been actively involved in both the small business committee and the marketing committee with the FEA.
