Andrew Gustafson
An expert on 1031 tax deferred exchanges
Mr. Gustafson was raised in West Lafayette, Indiana and graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1978. For twelve years he worked in the enterprise resource planning software market with manufacturers in the United States, Canada and Central and South America improving their production efficiencies. His specialties include business planning, operations anagement and sales/marketing.
Since 2003, Mr. Gustafson has been the President of Old South 1031 Exchange
Services, LLC and has completed over 500 forward, reverse, build to suit,
leasehold improvement and personal property exchanges. As an approved
continuing educational provider of professional education programs in Florida
for Certified Public Accountants and Realtors, he has instructed hundreds of
realtors, private investors and accountants on the Internal Revenue Code
Section 1031 tax deferred exchange.
In 2006, Mr. Gustafson qualified for and passed the board exam to receive the
Certified Exchange Specialist® designation. He later founded Atlas 1031
Exchange, LLC as Managing Member to serve clients in Dallas and Houston,
Texas, Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana, Biloxi, Mississippi and Mobile,
Alabama along with current clientele throughout Florida and the Southeast. His
work is largely based upon referrals from Clients, Realtors, Accountants,
Attorneys, Title Companies, Lenders and Financial Planners. He is authorized to
teach continuing education classes to Attorneys, CPAs, Financial Planners, and
Realtors in both Texas and Florida.
